The best Priestess post ever

....Or maybe not he "best" with their small body of work and my lack of any boots or the like (thought I had a couple but I guess not). From Montreal Canada they consisted of singer/guitarist Mikey Heppner, singer guitarist Dan Watchorn, drummr VInce Nudo, and bassist Mike Dyball....their debut "Hello Master" was released in 2005 in a wave stoner metal fury (I really thought it was going to "take off", in retro, it is best that it did not, me thinks) that included the Sword, Wolfmother and some others.

"Hello Master" is a prefectly fine rock n roll album, lots of heavy stoner blasts such as "I am the Night Colour Me Black", and a fine single ("Talk to Her") in a genre which is really not "about" singles......Looks like they had some lable disputes and the like before the release of 2009's "Prior to the Fire". It, to me, is not quite the equal of the debut, some with whom I have discussed the matter prefer it.....not bad at any rate

Then I guess they pretty much went back to thier day jobs or whatever, because not apeep has been heard from them that I know of.....Wikipedia tells of a planned 2012 European tour and an album, both of which for "mysterious" reasons never came about. Anyway, in the 2000's if you wanted ANY kind of good hard rock at all, stoner metal was pretty much the ONLY way to go, and these two albums are another two good ones to own. Anyone north of the border with a bootleg or anything I'd like to hear it.
