The best IAMX post, ever

Never, ever can you say that I don't mix it up......while by now obvious that thrash n roll is my thing, often I like to venture off into some other corners of the musical universe (I'm going to see goddamn PINK in concert next week, for God's sake!)......so, it had been a while since I'd pulled out any IAMX, slipped a disc in thi mong and it sounds really good, and I recall at one time really enjoying these albums (in the right frame of mind, a phrase I seem to add often).

Chris Corner of the Sneaker Pimps formed IAMX as an independent side project, I must say I enver cared much for what I heard from Sneaker Pimps, but IAMX's fine blend of electronic/dance music coupled with Corner's versatile voice works for me at least.......you may like this if you have enjoyed some of my previous posts such as Mommy and Daddy, Peaches, Le Tigre, some of the more electronic selections I've rolled out......if you're strictly a fan of riff-rock, you may want to sit this one out.

The first album, "Kiss and Swallow", is a fine album, one of the better efforts of 2004.....quite lyrical and musically very quirky, I recommend it highly. You'd have to ask a "true beleiver" (I am not one, really) as to their opinion of album #2 "The Alternative", for me itjust doesn't work as well as "Kiss and Swallow". "Live in Warsaw" is a good live effort, I assume a good representation of the band's highly lauded live shows (I've not seen them and wouldn't feel really "comfortable", to be honest, at one of their shows)......

The next album "Kingdom of Welcome Addiction" is respectable as well, I am not going to pretend to be expert on this type of music, I know that I enjoy listening to this album, I assume that in the lonmg run that is all that matters.....I learn from Wikipedia that a remix of the album entitled "Dogmatic Infidel Comedown OK", which is an anagram of the original album's title......far too clever for me, I DO NOT happen to have the remix effort, if any of ya do, please feel free to share it with us.

In 2011 "Volatile Times" was released, for me the story was getting REALLY close to being over, I guess if you are a big fan of IAMX you'd not wish to be without this, so I'll include it here as well......I probably have not done a phenominal job of describing this act, which actually MAY be complimentary towards them. This is fairly different, and "out there" stuff, I'd bet a handfull of ya might actually like this. A larger handful are probably hoping that tomorrow brings some Dixie Witch or some Mo-Dettes or something, but you gotta take the WHOLE package......get into the right frame of mind, IAMX did some good, original work.
